Description: The Mongols are an east Asian ethnic group native to Mongolia, Inner Mongolia in China and the Buryatia Republic of the Russian Federation. The Mongolian traditional folk dance is a unique and distinguished art expression that has embodied and originated from the nomadic living style of Mongols.

Description: Take a walk around Singapore’s only conserved housing estate with our volunteer guides to explore the pre-war and post-war architecture and learn about the culture and arts, food and romance, as well as intriguing people and stories associated with this charming and picturesque neighbourhood.

  • Wear a mask, comfortable clothes and suitable shoes.
  • Bring along hand sanitiser, insect repellent, EZ-Link card, a bottle of water and an umbrella.

Description: Nian Hua: Of Deities, Guardians and Auspicious Art is a collaboration with the Chongqing China Three Gorges Museum and showcases new year prints produced in China from the Qing dynasty to the 1980s. A close examination of the iconography of these prints, which are deeply rooted in popular beliefs and folk customs, provides insights into the rarely-documented attitudes and values of the common people in China.

Life is Sweet: Ang Ku Kueh Girl Exhibition

Description: These illustrations were inspired by Wang Shijia’s reflections on life’s joys and struggles. But don’t mistake Ang Ku Kueh Girl for her creator! Ang Ku Kueh Girl is determined, persistent and a thankful optimist; Shijia aspires to be like her!

Many of these illustrations have been published before. They have since been updated with new details and colours. Shijia also added traditional Chinese motifs to convey her well wishes for visitors.
