Affiliate and Referral Disclosure
Sometimes I will include affiliate and referral links in my posts here on Consume Less Life.
What are Affiliate and Referral Links?
These are links that take you to other sites which offer me some form of compensation for sending them visitors or customers.
Tracking of your purchases is done by embedding tracking links into the Website. If you click on an affiliate or referral link, a cookie might be placed on your browser to track any sales for purposes of commissions.
The compensation I receive comes at no extra cost to you, and this income helps to pay for blogging costs (such as hosting and email subscription service), and for the time I spend running and maintaining this blog.
Though I appreciate making some money in exchange for the content I provide, this blog mainly exists to provide information regarding consuming less. I understand that this blog is for encouraging everyone to consuming less, in the case of inevitable purchases, I will write down my reviews on the products and services that I have personally used and liked.
Sometimes I will write on a freemium service where I have only signed up for the free version. You will be able to also download and use the service at no cost and should you decide to upgrade to a paid subscription, I will be able to get some compensation as your referrer.
There will be no hard selling of any products on this blog. All affiliate referral links will be prominently disclosed and I strongly encourage you to only purchase if you really need the product or service.
Sponsored Posts
Companies will sometimes pay me to blog about/review their products or services. Sponsored posts are always clearly labelled and I will be vet through which sponsored post opportunities I accept. I want this site’s content, including the sponsored posts, to uphold its main purpose, which is to consume less.
Press
Whenever my blog and I appear in the press, whether it be in the newspaper, on TV, or on a website, please keep in mind that my appearance does not function as an endorsement of said newspaper, TV, or website.

Privacy Policy
Consume Less Life found at https://consumeless.life/ is governed by the following privacy policy.
We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it. The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to inform you what personally identifiable information we may collect and how it may be used. This statement only applies to this Website.
Before you read the bottom part, I highly recommend every one of you use a privacy browser like Brave, Firefox, Firefox Focus (For mobile) or DuckDuckGo and also download ad blocking plugins to stop sites from tracking your movements on the internet.
Although it might affect some of the affiliate and referral commissions crediting due to the removal of tracking, I am fine with it. Your privacy and reduced exposure to advertisements is worth much more than my commissions.
Why am I still collecting your information after telling you to download the privacy browsers and ad blocking plugins?
The purpose is to track traffic on my site which I can use (e.g. view count) in case I have an agency that wants to work with me regarding topics on consuming less.
Once I can afford it, I will switch to a paid traffic analytics software like Plausible.io that doesn’t use cookies and is fully compliant with GDPR, CCPA and PECR.
