Update 30/9/2022: The promotion for the free rice ended on 15 September 2022. The promotion for the breakfast set ended on 30 September 2022. You should still be able to get the ntuc vouchers when you sign up using a referral code.

Sign Up Rewards

Here are the rewards that you get by signing up for a Trust Bank Account.

Sign-up Rewards Action Required
S$10 NTUC eVoucher, 1kg FairPrice Fragrant Rice and Kopitiam Breakfast Set Sign up for a Trust Bank Account using my referral code – 9YA868HD
S$25 NTUC eVoucher Make any VISA transaction using the Trust Bank Debit or Credit Card

You can also sign up for their Credit Card but I feel that it is not needed. Another Credit Card is another unnecessary thing on my mind plus there is an income requirement. You just need the ordinary Trust Bank Account and Debit Card (which will be automatically created for you) to get all the rewards.

Here are some points to take note

    • Choose “Savings Account” during the sign up, instead of Credit Card.
  • You must use a referral code (my code is 9YA868HD) or else you won’t get the S$10 NTUC Voucher during the initial sign-up. But you will still get the 1KG Rice & Breakfast Set if you forget to use any referral code. You will no longer get any signup bonuses if you don’t key in a referral code. Once you miss out on keying the referral code, you will not get the reward.

trust bank referral code 9YA868HD

  • I had to key in the referral code manually as copy/paste did not work.
  • If you are the first sign-up in your family, you can use my referral code to sign up for your account and then assist your family members to create their accounts using YOUR referral code. The total amount of eVouchers earned this way can be quite substantial.
  • You must make a VISA transaction to get the S$25 NTUC eVoucher. PayNow and bank transfers do not count.
  • NTUC eVouchers expire in 6 months from sign up.
  • 1kg FairPrice Fragrant Rice voucher expires by 30 September 2022. Sign-up reward to get 1kg rice voucher ended on 15 September 2022.
  • Kopitiam breakfast set voucher expires by 31 October 2022. Sign-up reward to get the breakfast set voucher ended on 30 September 2022.

Proof Of Rewards

I have attached the screenshot of the rewards received.

How To Get S$10 NTUC eVoucher, 1KG Rice & Breakfast Set

You will need to open an account with Trust Bank with a referral code (important). This process will take less than 10 minutes. Here are the steps to get the rewards.

  1. Download the Trust Bank App from Google Playstore or Apple App Store
  2. Open the app and choose “Use Referral Code”
  3. Key in the referral code (my code is 9YA868HD)
  4. Select “Savings Account” and create account
  5. Your eVouchers will be available under Rewards > Coupons > My Coupons

How To Get S$25 NTUC eVoucher

You will need to make a VISA transaction using the Trust Card. This will be a bit complicated if you want to do it immediately, otherwise, you can wait for the physical card. I have a number of methods for your to claim this S$25 NTUC eVoucher.

Method 1 – Shopee S$0.01 Hack

  1. You will need a Shopee account
  2. Transfer S$0.01 from your bank account to your Trust Bank account using bank transfer.
    • You can get your Trust Bank account details from Money > > Top-up: View account details
  3. Get your Trust Bank card details
    • You can get your Trust Bank card details from Money > View and manage Card > Card details
  4. Add Trust Bank card to payment methods in Shopee
    • Open Shopee app
    • Click “Me” at the bottom right
    • Click gear icon on top right
    • Select Linked Payment Methods
    • Add New Card
  5. Search for “ShopeePay voucher” in the marketplace
  6. Look for any S$0.01 item and buy it
    • Remember to choose the newly added Trust Bank card as the payment option at the check out page
  7. Your S$25 eVoucher will be in “My Coupons” in the Trust Bank app after the transaction settles.

This is the easiest method if you have a Shopee account but you will waste S$0.01.

Method 2 – Revolut

  1. You will need a Revolut account (Revolut is a payment app)
  2. Transfer S$20 (minimum Revolut top-up amount) from your bank account to your Trust Bank account using bank transfer.
    • You can get your Trust Bank account details from Money > > Top-up: View account details
  3. Get your Trust Bank card details
    • You can get your Trust Bank card details from Money > View and manage Card > Card details
  4. Fund Revolut account with S$20
    • Open Revolut app
    • Click “Add money”
    • Select 20 SGD
    • Add Debit / Credit Card and fill in Trust Bank Card details
    • Add money securely
  5. Your S$25 eVoucher will be in “My Coupons” in the Trust Bank app after Revolut is funded
  6. Send back the S$20 from Revolut to your bank account
    • Open Revolut app
    • Click “Transfer”
    • Click “+ New” > Bank Recipient
    • Fill in your local bank details (you can google your bank Swift Code easily) and add recipient
    • Select your newly added bank and send the S$20 back to your bank

You won’t lose any money and there are no fees but this is quite a bit more troublesome than the Shopee hack. I suggest using a Revolut account that has the same name as your Trust Bank account.

Method 3 – eCommerce/payment apps

You can make a purchase on any eCommerce site or payment app like ShopBack (affiliate link) that allows you to key in card details. You can also buy something that you need from Shopee instead of using the S$0.01 hack. Just remember to fund your Trust Bank account with your total checkout amount first. You must take note not to underfund your account. Even if you overfund your Trust Bank account, you can transfer it back out later.

Method 4 – Wait For Physical Card

If you are not tech-savvy and don’t want to jump through multiple hoops or spend money online, you can wait for the physical card to arrive after about 1 week. Once the card arrive, remember to activate it and then fund your Trust Bank account before taking it out to spend.

How To Use NTUC eVoucher

We will be able to use the NTUC eVouchers at both physical and online platforms under FairPrice Group. These places include

  • FairPrice Online
  • FairPrice Shop
  • FairPrice Supermarket
  • FairPrice Finest
  • FairPrice Xtra
  • Warehouse Club
  • Unity (except Changi Airport)

You will not be able to use the eVouchers at Cheers and FairPrice Xpress outlets. You will also not be able to use them using the Scan & Go function in the FairPrice App. For the full T&Cs, please check it under the voucher.

Multiple eVouchers can also be used under the same transaction.

For the collection of the 1kg rice, the easiest way would be to go to the physical cashier and they will help you with it. Alternatively, if you use the self-checkout option, just follow the instructions in the eVoucher.

Using NTUC eVoucher Online

You will be able to key in a voucher code during checkout. Open the eVoucher and click redeem when you are ready to check out to get the voucher code.

Using NTUC eVoucher at Physical Outlets

If you make payment at the cashier, just tell the cashier you would like to make payment using the eVoucher and they will scan the eVoucher for you.

Alternatively, if you make payment at the self-checkout counter, you will need to

  • Choose “All Other Payments” under the “Select Payment Type” page
  • Click FP eVoucher
  • Open your eVoucher in your Trust Bank app and click redeem
  • Use the handheld scanner to scan your eVoucher.

Once done, press back to proceed with the balance payment.

How To Claim The 1KG Rice

Here are the instructions to claim the 1KG Rice. Take note that this has to be claimed at physical outlets.

The promotion to get the rice ended on 15 September 2022. If you already have the voucher, you will need to collect it by 30 September 2022.

A point to take note of would be to collect the 1KG rice in the rice area. The rice will not be available in the payments area.

If you would like to claim the 1KG rice at the cashier, it will be straightforward. Just let the cashier know and they will scan your voucher in your Trust Bank App.

If you would like to claim the 1KG rice using the self-checkout counter, it is different from claiming the NTUC eVoucher. Instead of choosing “all other payments” on the payment page, choose “coupon” and scan the code. Once done, go back to the payments page and proceed with payment.

Summary Of What To Do

Here is a summary of what I have said above.

  2. Make a VISA transaction to get S$25 NTUC eVoucher
  3. Refer your friends and families using your own code to share the love

Refer Your Friends And Win A Tesla

I didn’t include this in the main part of the article as there is a minuscule chance that we might win this. There are only 3 winners of a Tesla 3 in the 3 lucky draws. The three draws are as follows

  • 9 November 2022 (cut-off date to qualify for this draw is 31 October 2022)
  • 9 December 2022 (cut-off date to qualify for this draw is 30 November 2022)
  • 9 January 2023 (cut-off date to qualify for this draw is 31 December 2022)

The prize will only include the physical car. It will not include Certificate of Entitlement, insurance, costs of registration and costs involving the upkeep of the car.

If you decide to sell the car or change the colour of the car, you will need to wait for 6 months.

For every referral you make, you will get one chance to win the Tesla plus an additional S$10 NTUC eVoucher.

Other Benefits Of Trust Bank

Besides the attractive sign-up bonuses and the Tesla 3 lucky draws, there are also certain perks when signing up for an account with Trust Bank. Some of the benefits include

  • 1.5% interest on first S$75,000 balance
  • Up to 1% bonus interest with spending requirements
  • Earn LinkPoints
  • Rebates on FairPrice Group spend
  • Discount and deal coupons for various F&B and other categories of expenses

What Referrer (Me) Get What Referee (You) Get

But you will still get the 1KG Rice & Breakfast Set if you forget to use any referral code. You will no longer get any signup bonuses if you don’t key in a referral code.
