Introspection

Description: Computer scientist, pianist and composer Eugene Ang presents an evening of original music drawn from a wide palette of genres, concepts and imagery. The Qdee is a wheeled educational robot that works with Microbit*, providing a great entry point for those interested in coding and robotics, but are not sure where to begin.

CURB

Description: Formed in early 2021, CURB is rooted in emo and math rock, and influenced by their diverse listening habits. Although little time has passed since their inception, the trio brings ample performing experience to the table. Sam and Lucas perform regularly with other independent music acts such as Krysta Joy, Subsonic Eye and The Cosmic Owls, among others. They also hold recording and session credits for mainstream artists, some of which include Marian Carmel, ABANGSAPAU and Aisyah Aziz. Farizi is also a visual artist who had a strong emphasis on performance-based work in his early stages. He also produces electronic music on his own with notable collaborations, like Mary Sue. in hand.

Libraries Transforming

Description: First opened on 30 April 1970, Queenstown Public Library (then Queenstown Branch Library) was the first of several full-fledged public libraries built in the 1970s. These first-generation libraries made books more accessible to all Singaporeans at a time when many could not afford them.

Since then, our public libraries have gone through a dramatic transformation. Today, Singapore boasts of a National Library and 26 public libraries, which have evolved greatly from what they were decades ago.
