[MARCH 2021] Updated with new initiatives by Klook Cares
SingapoRediscovers vouchers (SRV) is a government initiative to boost the local tourism industry. The economy will be boosted as you will typically spend excess amounts above the voucher amounts.
If we do not plan on using our vouchers or want to put your vouchers towards a good cause, there is an initiative that we can donate our SingapoRediscover vouchers.
I also wrote about the different organisations besides Klooks that allows donations using SRV vouchers.
It’s Raining Raincoats Initiative: Purchase tickets to Singapore Flyer for our migrant workers
There is an initiative from Its Raining Raincoats on Klook to purchase tickets to Singapore Flyer for our migrant workers. You can participate by clicking here. They are aiming to gather enough donations to bring 2% of migrant workers to visit the Singapore Flyer.
The Singapore Flyer has announced that they will match tickets donated at the rate of 1.5:1. This means that every 3 tickets donated by the public will be matched with The Singapore Flyer donating 2 tickets.
Each ticket costs $35. It consists of a 30 minutes ride on the Singapore Flyer and a walk inside Time Capsule, a re-imagination of the Singapore Story. The visit is currently on 8 March 2021 so try to book in advance of that date.
Time Capsule takes guests on an immersive journey across various phases in Singapore’s 700-year history through nine different zones. This will allow our migrant workers to spend a day as a tourist and learn more about Singapore.
